Whilst there are many things that can make us temporarily happy, it turns out (and is scientifically proven!) that being part of a community can actually make you happier!

At MADE, we are driven by our community aspect and love bringing like-minded people together whilst helping them to transform their lives!

Here are a few reasons as to why we focus so much on creating a community at MADE:

1. If you are someone who feels a little insecure about themselves or maybe gets anxious in social situations, going to the gym on your own can be daunting! Knowing that you will be in a class with other people in the same situation as you, who are all there for the same reasons can give a sense of comfort and make the experience less intimidating!

2. Some studies have shown that the more people feel connected to a group and have opportunities to connect with others who share the same values as them, the more satisfied they feel with their lives. That’s why at MADE we try to unite people who share the same beliefs and goals of wanting to make a healthier change in their life.

3. Being part of a community gives us a sense of belonging and unity that could otherwise be missed in our day-to-day busy lives. It helps us to feel connected to others which can reduce loneliness and stress.

4. There are some scientific studies that have evidence of positive benefits that come when we connect with people locally. This includes reduced risk of depression and even lowering the risk of heart disease!

Being part of the MADE community is all about feeling good and happy within yourself! We bring people together not to just lose weight or exercise more, but to feel positive within themselves and with the choices they make.

Our trainers aren’t here to scorn or pressure you into jogs at 6 am and ridiculous diets. Our trainers are here to help you create a happier, healthier everyday life through discovery, encouragement and positivity!

Our memberships are focused around our classes because that is where we bring like-minded people together! Our MADE to OM membership focuses around yoga classes, our MADE to Ride membership focuses around our spinning classes and our MADE Wellness membership allows access to all classes! We definitely think that classes are the best way to work out whilst meeting new people and socialising.
